Bollywood / SRK, family being used as target to distract from drug haul at Adani port: Dadlani

Music composer Vishal Dadlani has defended Shah Rukh Khan after the latter's son was arrested in Mumbai cruise drugs case. "SRK and his family are being used as a smokescreen, a soft target to distract from the 3000-kg Talibani-drug haul at Adani port and to distract from the murder of farmers by the son of a BJP member/MLA," he tweeted.

Mumbai: Music composer Vishal Dadlani is the latest celebrity to stand in solidarity with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan as their son, Aryan Khan sits in jail awaiting his bail in the ongoing drugs case.

Not one to mince his words, Dadlani claimed that the highly publicised case is being used to "distract" citizens of the country from other pressing issues. In a tweet, he wrote, "SRK and his family are being used as a smokescreen, a soft target to distract from the 3000kg Talibani-drug haul at the Adani port, and to distract from the murder of farmers by the son of a BJP member/MLA."

This post was in response to a filmmaker who asked, "How many Producers, Directors who have worked with #SRK in last 30 years are standing in solidarity with him today?"

On Friday, Raveena Tandon also took to her social media handle to criticise the "shameful politics being played out" in the drugs case.

Without naming anyone, Tandon took to Twitter and wrote, "Shameful politics being played out... It's a young man's life and future they toying with... heartbreaking."

Aryan and seven others were sent in 14-day judicial custody in connection with the alleged seizure of banned drugs from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

The star-kid's legal team has moved the Sessions Court and his bail hearing is likely to be on Monday, October 11.
