Vadodara: A boy, who arrived in Vadodara, brutally beat a dog and dragged him to his scooty for 500 meters before throwing it to the roadside. Following a complaint lodged by an animal rights activist, a person from Gujarat was arrested.According to a Times of India report, the accused person has been identified as Ejaz Sheikh, who is studying disability. The boy is aged between 20-25 years. Following the complaint, he was arrested from his home.Locals reported an injured dog lying near the Ward 8 office on Thursday night. The dog was found with severe injuries to his head and other parts of the body and was taken to the hospital. The dog's teeth were also found to be broken.Viewers said that Sheikh first beat the dog and then tied it with a belt and kept hitting it with a rod. The accused then tied the dog to its scooty and dragged it for 500 meters before dumping it on the roadside. The police have registered a case of animal cruelty under the Animal Cruelty Act.
