Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: The terrorist attack in picturesque Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday shook the entire country. A total of 26 men lost their lives in this cowardly attack, while many people have been seriously injured. The attack was carried out on a group of tourists who had come to enjoy the beauty of the valley. The terrorists targeted only men in this attack and left the women.

The people killed in the attack include citizens of many states, due to which this incident has taken the form of a national tragedy. Five citizens of Maharashtra died in this attack. These include Hemant Suhas Joshi and Sanjay Laxman Lali of Mumbai, Atul Srikant Moni, Santosh Jagda, and Kastuba Gawote of Pune.

Sushil Nathyal of Indore, who had come to Kashmir to celebrate his wife's birthday, also fell victim to the terrorists' bullets. He was a branch manager of LIC. Similarly, Syed Adil Hussain Shah, a local resident of Pahalgam, also died in this attack.

Three tourists from Gujarat—Yatesh Parmar, his son Sumit Parmar and Shaileshbhai Himmatbhai Kalathia from Surat—also fell prey to this terror. Nepal's Sudeep Neupane also lost his life in this attack.

Citizens from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Haryana, Odisha, Kerala, Chandigarh, Karnataka and Arunachal Pradesh were also killed in this attack, making it clear that the fire of terrorism has scorched every corner of the country.

The government has announced financial assistance to the families of the deceased and has vowed to give a strong response to this heinous act. At the same time, there is a wave of mourning in the whole country over this tragedy.
