Economy of India: The first 100 days of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term have ended, and BJP MPs are seen beating the drum of achievements made during this period. At the fourth edition of the 'Global Renewable Energy Investor Meet and Exhibition' (RE-Invest 2024) held recently in Gandhinagar, Modi highlighted the achievements of this 100-day period as well as the roadmap for the next 1000 years of development.Areas of focus in 100 daysPrime Minister Modi told the countrymen and the world from the platform of RE-Invest 2024 that every sector has been focused on in the first 100 days of his government's third term. He said that in these 100 days, India has not only made rapid progress but has also put the country's diversity, potential and possibilities in front of the whole world. Modi said, "India is the best place for the 21st century and we have taken rapid steps in this direction." Foundation of development for the next 1,000 yearsThe Prime Minister stressed that India is laying the foundation of development not only for the present but also for the next 1000 years. He stressed on a green and zero-emission future and said that these are not mere words of show but the need of the country. The government has set a target to develop Ayodhya and 16 other cities as model 'solar cities'. He also said that 140 crore Indians have resolved to make the country the third largest economy in the world.Investment of Rs 12,000 crore on green energyModi said that his government has taken many important decisions in the field of green and renewable energy. The government is working on 31,000 MW hydropower generation, for which Rs 12,000 crore has been allocated. The investment is aimed at meeting the growing demand for renewable energy in the country and exporting it globally.Energy Minister's invitation to investorsUnion New and Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi urged investors to invest in India. He said that banks and financial institutions have committed to finance Rs 32.45 lakh crore for green projects. Joshi mentioned the commitments received from state governments, developers and financial institutions to achieve the target of 500 gigawatts by 2030. He also informed about additional manufacturing capacity in the field of solar modules, solar cells, wind turbines and electrolysers.Event organization and future plansRe-Invest 2024 started in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from Monday and will run till September 18. This event is being organized outside Delhi, which is different from the three events held so far. This event is being hosted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar will also be present on the closing day.
