Cricket Desk: Veteran Australian wicketkeeper-batter Tim Paine landed in hot waters after his four-year-old conversation with a then female colleague came to light recently. Paine had sent multiple inappropriate messages to a co-worker at Cricket Tasmania in 2017 and admitted his mistake in a press conference. He even stepped down as Australia’s Test captain following this saga.Notably, Paine was married when this incident took place. He tied knots with Bonnie Maggs in 2016 and the couple has two children as well. The 36-year-old also thanked his wife and family for their forgiveness. Now, Bonnie has herself opened up about the ‘sexting scandal.’ While the wife of the former Australian captain said she has forgiven her husband’s lewd messages, she is “frustrated” the scandal has been brought into the public eye.We both decided to move on with life, and do it together: Tim Paine’s wife“I have had my time of getting angry, and venting, and to get upset, and we fought and we talked, and then we both decided to move on with life, and do it together,” she said, speaking to News Corp alongside her husband.“I feel a bit frustrated that it’s all been brought up and aired in the public when we’d put it to bed years ago. I have moved forward since then. I feel like there is a lot of injustice for it being dragged out again,” she added.Bonnnie also admitted that she was taken aback after knowing about her husband’s activities. “I felt betrayed, and I felt hurt, upset, and I felt pissed off, I also had feelings of gratitude because he was being so honest with me,” asserted Paine’s wife.As mentioned above, the wicketkeeper had also said that his wife has forgiven and he express gratitude for the same. He had also said that he moved on from the incidence and tried focusing on the same since the last few years.“I spoke to my wife and family at the time and am enormously grateful for their forgiveness and support. We thought this incident was behind us and that I could focus entirely on the team, as I have done for the last three or four years,” said Paine while addressing the media.
