Maharashtra New CM: The suspense over the post of Chief Minister in Maharashtra may end today. The BJP Legislature Party meeting will be held at 11 am in the Central Hall of Vidhan Bhavan, in which the leader of the legislative party will be elected. This decision will be taken in the presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani as central observers.

Devendra Fadnavis is the frontrunner

The name of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is being said to be the frontrunner for the post of CM. According to sources, consensus has already been reached on his name, but the formal opinion of the MLAs will be taken.

Mahayuti leaders will meet the Governor

After the selection of the leader of the legislative party, the leaders of the Mahayuti alliance will meet the Governor at 3:30 pm and stake claim to form the government. The next day, on December 5, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai.

The Mahayuti alliance won 230 out of 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The BJP won 132, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) 57, and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) won 41 seats. This clear majority gives the alliance the power to form a stable government.

Fadnavis-Shinde meeting and new equations

Devendra Fadnavis met Eknath Shinde on Tuesday. In this meeting, Shinde gave up his claim for the Home Ministry. Now Shinde will take oath as Deputy CM on December 5. This decision reflects an attempt to maintain balance within the Mahayuti.
