Bollywood Desk: Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his home in Mumbai. The actor was 34. He was found hanging at his Bandra home on Sunday morning. Sushant was cremated on Monday at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. Many Bollywood and television celebrities attended the funeral. He was reportedly suffering from depression for a few months. His demise has brought up so many discussions on nepotism, favouritism, lobbying, and that Bollywood needs to change. A lot has taken place post Sushant's demise. His family believes that he can never commit suicide and many other celebrities in Bollywood say that he was a victim of nepotism and hence lost his life. His fans in Bihar have called out Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor and others for not casting Sushant Singh Rajput and not giving him a chance. Many believe that it was a suicide but a murder due to the pressure he had of not being accepted by Bollywood. Just 5 days have past and a filmmaker has already thought of a film on the late actor’s life titled Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost. The film is made by director Shamik Maulik and is based on how actors with no film background are treated by the industry when they try to make their career in the movie world.

Shamik Maulik in an interview with Navbharat Times spoke about the same. He said that his intention behind taking a leaf from Sushant’s life and putting it out on the screen is to ‘end the monopoly of the big stars and production houses of the film industry.’ He shared that he wants to expose Bollywood through this film. He said, "I want to break this gang. My story will show everything that was done wrong with Sushant. That boy was forced to end his life. He was bullied by people and boycotted and was even fired from several films back-to-back. The film is not a biopic but is rather inspired by Sushant’s life. It will spill the beans on many secrets of the film industry."
