Cricket | Indian Test captain Virat Kohli's childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has reacted to the controversy he had with him and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. Shortly before leaving for the South Africa tour, Virat spoke on many issues by holding a press conference. During this, he clarified his stand on the many speculations being made about BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and the new captain of the ODI format, Rohit Sharma. Here he also said that he is available for the ODI series to be played against South Africa. When Virat expressed his disagreement on a statement of Ganguly in this press conference, a new controversy arose.Rajkumar Sharma while talking on the 'Khelneeti' podcast said, "I do not want to speak much on this issue, because it is directly related to Virat. But I think it would have been better if such harsh words were not used from both the sides. The team is doing well, I don't think we need to create unnecessary controversy. He further said, "Kohli is unlikely to be affected by this kind of controversy. It may be on his mind, but once he steps on the field, I don't think it will affect him. Virat is not greedy for anything, he has a lot of confidence and I know he will give his 100 percent. When this kind of confrontation or dispute happens, obviously it is a bit disturbing for any player, but I hope the board will deal with this situation efficiently and it will not get dragged on."
