Sam Mendes-directed war film '1917', starring George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman among others was named the Best Motion Picture-Drama at 77th Golden Globe Awards held on Monday. The award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy went to Quentin Tarantino's directorial 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'. Sam Mendes also won Best Director award for '1917'.

The prestigious 77th Golden Globes is being held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the United States. It is the first awards presentation for distinguished achievements in the film industry granted by Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association.
