What is Economic Survey?

The Economic Survey or Economic Survey is presented a day before the presentation of the budget in Parliament. It is the main basis of the budget and it presents a complete picture of the economy and is prepared on the basis of review of the previous financial year. Through this, the government tells about the latest state of the country's economy. It includes all the information like development trend in a year, how much income was earned from which sector, how which schemes were implemented in which sector.

Why is Economic Survey important?

Through the Economic Survey, the government presents a better picture of the economic condition of the country. It contains important information about the work of the last one year, employment, GDP figures, budget deficit and inflation. Through this, the survey is prepared by the Chief Economic Advisor of the country.

The Economic Survey is an annual document of the Finance Ministry. It contains an account of the country's economic development. Who prepares the survey report?

The Economic Survey Report is prepared by the Economics Division of Economic Affairs of the Finance Ministry. It is mainly prepared under the supervision of the Chief Economic Advisor. This year this economic survey has been prepared by the team led by Chief Economic Advisor V Anant Nageshwaran.
