On the same lines, the BCCI has now started the process of finalizing the name of the title sponsor for the Women's Premier League (WPL). Under this, the board has issued a proposal for the next five seasons i.e. 2023 to 2027 cycle. For this, BCCI has asked for bids. Significantly, recently the board had announced the names of the owners of the five teams after the auction. Now soon the title sponsor for this league will also be decided.

BCCI has issued a document called Request for Proposal (RFP) to bid for this proposal. Its price is Rs 1 lakh on which GST will also be applicable. Apart from this, it will contain information about all the terms and conditions related to the title sponsorship auction. Companies who want to bid for this can buy RFP till 9 February 2023. At the same time, all interested companies will have to email the payment details to rfp@bcci.tv to buy it. The RFP will be shared with that company only when the payment confirmation mail is received.

Wherein it is mandatory to buy RFP to participate in the title sponsorship auction. It has also been said that even after purchasing the RFP, it is not necessary that the company will be able to participate in the auction. For that, it will be necessary to fulfill the conditions of the company. At the same time, the board will have the right to cancel the validity of any company for this. For the time being, it has to be seen which companies now submit their names for this. Earlier, Tata had won the men's IPL. At the same time, there was a lot of opposition due to the India-China standoff before the last season regarding the Chinese company Vivo. In between, Dream 11 also won the sponsorship for one season of the men's IPL.

Who bought 5 teams in the Women's Premier League?

Earlier, talking about who bought the five teams of the women's league, Adani Sportsline Pvt Ltd got the Ahmedabad team, which was sold for Rs 1289 crore. Indiawin Sports Pvt Ltd got the Mumbai team for a total price of Rs 912.99 crore. The third team went to Bangalore's Royal Challengers Sports Pvt which sold for Rs 901 crore. The fourth team of the Women's IPL is from Delhi, which was bought by JSW JMR Cricket Pvt Ltd for Rs 810 crore. And the fifth team is from Lucknow, which was bought by Capri Global Holding Pvt Ltd for Rs 757 crore.
