Cricket | The great batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are one of the biggest stalwarts of Indian cricket. Kohli grew up with Sachin Tendulkar as his idol and was a part of the Indian cricket team when the 'Lord of Cricket' was bidding goodbye to cricket. When Sachin was retiring from cricket, at that time Kohli gave a priceless gift to Tendulkar. This priceless gift is a 'sacred thread' that Virat himself got from his father Prem Kohli. Talking about it, Tendulkar has now said that it was a very emotional moment for him and that gift from Virat touched his heart.

In a conversation with American journalist Graham Bensinger, Tendulkar recalled his last match as an international cricketer, saying, "I was in a corner in the dressing room, wiping my tears. That moment was very emotional for me. At that time Virat came to me, he gave me a sacred red thread, which was given to him by his father. I kept it with me for some time and then returned it back to Virat and I told him that it is priceless and it should be with you and not with anyone else. This is your trust and it should remain with you till your last breath. That emotional moment will always be in my memories.

Sachin played 200 Test matches and 463 ODIs for India for 24 years. He played his last Test on 16 November 2013 against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which was the 200th Test match of his career. When Sachin was leaving the field, the whole country was very emotional at that time. After Sachin, Virat holds the record for most centuries in ODI cricket.
