Haryana News: Haryana is going to get a big financial aid from the World Bank. World Bank's India Director Auguste Tano Koume recently informed that in the next five years, Haryana will be provided the same amount of financial assistance as was given in the last 50 years. The announcement was made during a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other government representatives.Various sectors like education, air quality management, and transport were discussed in the meeting. Apart from this, the World Bank team also held a separate meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.One billion dollar financing to HaryanaKoume informed that Haryana has been provided one billion dollar financing in the last 50 years. He said, "We have supported Haryana in areas like electricity, energy and water. In the coming five years, we will give the same amount of financing as was given in the last 50 years. This will be an important step towards making India a 'developed' nation by 2047." Apart from direct financial assistance to Haryana, the state has also benefited from pan-India projects funded by the World Bank. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana will soon set up a global artificial intelligence (AI) centre with the assistance of the World Bank, which will enhance the technology and innovation capabilities of the state.Support from World Bank for Punjab's growthOn the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sought support from the World Bank to accelerate growth in the state and improve public services. He said that financial assistance is important for infrastructure development, human resource development, and social welfare projects in Punjab.Come said that Punjab received its first loan from the World Bank in 1961, and till date, a total of one billion dollars have been funded to the state. He also said that new projects in education and other sectors are being discussed in Punjab.New era for Haryana and PunjabThis announcement is the beginning of a new era for both Haryana and Punjab. While Haryana is focusing on technological advancement and infrastructure development, Punjab is striving towards overall social and economic reforms. This financial assistance from the World Bank is expected to give new impetus to development in both the states.These initiatives will not only lead to the progress of both the states but will also contribute to the overall development of India, which is a strong step towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
