15 Congress MLAs reach Hyderabad before floor test in Bihar, political stir intensifies

Bihar Politics: Floor test is to be held in Bihar on 12th February, hence political turmoil has intensified there. 15 Congress MLAs have reached Hyderabad and 2 MLAs are already present there. In such a situation, a total of 17 Congress MLAs are in Hyderabad. In Bihar, Congress is afraid of its MLAs breaking up and that is why Congress MLAs of Bihar are being asked to stay together. Congress wants that any kind of breakdown should not happen in their party before the floor test.

How many seats does a party have in Bihar?

RJD has 79 MLAs out of 243 seats in Bihar Assembly. There Congress has 19 seats, CPI (ML) has 12, CPI has 2, CPI (M) has 2 and AIMIM has one seat. NDA alliance currently has majority in Bihar. BJP has 78 MLAs, JDU has 45 MLAs, Hindustani Awam Morcha has 4 and independent MLA is 1.

Nitish took oath on 28 January

It is noteworthy that Nitish Kumar had left RJD and formed the NDA government in Bihar by forming an alliance with BJP. Nitish took oath as Chief Minister along with 8 ministers at 5 pm on January 28. In this new government of Bihar, Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary have been made Deputy CMs.
