After inspecting the construction work of bullet train project on Surat-Navsari section, Satish Agnihotri told reporters that the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious bullet train project is being done on top priority basis. Japan's Ambassador Satoshi Sizuki was also present on the occasion. The work progress report of the project is sent daily to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Agnihotri, in response to a question, claimed that the trial of bullet train on Surat-Bilimora (48 km) section would start in December 2026.

Agnihotri said that at present 20 thousand people are working in the bullet train project. Soon one lakh people will get jobs in this project. He said that all the projects under Make in India have been awarded to Indian companies. Well foundation work is going on on Narmada Bridge, Mahi Bridge, Tapti Bridge and Sabarmati Bridge. Apart from this, construction work is in various stages at all the eight bullet train stations up to Vapi-Sabarmati.

Satish Agnihotri said that bullet train will never crash due to Japan's technical, rolling stock and signal system. This technique is called Crash Avoidance System.
