The order passed by a single bench of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay said that the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of the same amount. What did Soren's lawyer say on the court order?Senior lawyer Arunabh Chaudhary of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Soren Soren had told that the former CM has been granted bail. He said that the court has said that prima facie, he is not guilty and there is no possibility of the petitioner committing any crime while being released on bail. The lawyer said that advocate Zohaib Hussain, representing the ED, requested a stay on the implementation of the single bench order for 48 hours so that the decision could be challenged in the High Court, but the High Court rejected this request.ED had opposed the releaseDuring the hearing in the High Court, ED lawyer SV Raju, referring to the cases registered against ED officials in the police station, argued that if Soren is released on bail, he will commit a similar crime again.
