India-Germany Relation: India and Germany relations have taken a new direction in the last few years, which is becoming stronger and stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Germany has chosen India as a key partner, and its ‘Focus on India’ strategy was described by PM Modi as a welcome step. The Prime Minister supported new initiatives to expand this partnership and said that this effort is from a ‘whole of government’ approach to a ‘whole of nation’ approach, which will give direction to the development aspirations of both countries.Role of Green and Sustainable Development PartnershipPrime Minister Modi and Chancellor Scholz agreed on the German-Indian Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP) in the meeting. This partnership is an important step under the IGC launched in 2011. It aims to promote green and sustainable development in the energy sector, in which both countries can benefit from their respective experience and technical expertise.
