Myanmar Earthquake: The severe earthquake in Myanmar caused massive devastation, in which more than a thousand people have lost their lives. Amidst this natural disaster, India launched 'Operation Brahma' as humanitarian aid. On March 29, an Indian Air Force plane took off from Hindon Airbase carrying 15 tonnes of relief material and reached Yangon at 8 am.

Air Force's C17 Globemaster and C130J Hercules aircraft have been sent by India with rescue teams, medical teams and necessary equipment. Use of modern equipment in rescue operationsThe National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has been deployed with advanced equipment for relief work in earthquake affected areas. These include concrete cutters, plasma cutting machines, drilling machines and search dogs.
