Maa Shailputri's worship methodOn the first day of Navratri, Ghatasthapana (Kalash Sthapana) is done along with the worship of Maa Shailputri, with which the proper worship of Navratri begins. Before starting the worship, take a bath in the morning and clean and decorate the temple. Then do Kalash Sthapana and apply vermilion tilak on the idol or picture of the mother. Offer red flowers to the goddess and light fruits, sweets, and a ghee lamp in front of her. After this, recite Durga Chalisa and take a vow to fast.
