Shardiya Navratri: Shardiya Navratri is starting from 3 October this year. On the first day of Navratri, Maa Shailputri is worshiped. Goddess Shailputri is considered to be very kind and merciful. Divine radiance and aura is visible on her face. Maa Shailputri holds a lotus flower in her left hand and a trident in her right hand, and her vehicle is a Vrishabha (bull). She destroys the sorrows of her devotees and blesses them with happiness and prosperity.Maa Shailputri was born in the house of Parvataraja Himalaya, that is why she is called "Shailputri". Goddess Shailputri is also considered to be the incarnation of Goddess Parvati.Maa Shailputri's worship methodOn the first day of Navratri, Ghatasthapana (Kalash Sthapana) is done along with the worship of Maa Shailputri, with which the proper worship of Navratri begins. Before starting the worship, take a bath in the morning and clean and decorate the temple. Then do Kalash Sthapana and apply vermilion tilak on the idol or picture of the mother. Offer red flowers to the goddess and light fruits, sweets, and a ghee lamp in front of her. After this, recite Durga Chalisa and take a vow to fast.Auspicious time of Shardiya Navratri GhatasthapanaOn the first day of Navratri, Kalash Sthapana is done first and after this Maa Shailputri is worshipped. The auspicious time for Kalash Sthapana is from 6:19 am to 7:23 am. At the same time, Abhijit Muhurta is from 11:52 to 12:40 pm.Bhog of Maa ShailputriMaa Shailputri is related to the moon, that is why white colored food items are offered to her. Kheer, Rasgulla, and Patasha are the main ones among these.
