Supreme Court News: BJP has got a big blow from the Supreme Court in the advertisement case against TMC. The apex court refused to hear BJP's petition. The court said that prima facie your advertisement is wrong. Calcutta High Court had banned BJP's advertisement against TMC. The High Court had banned BJP's advertisement against TMC till June 4. After this BJP had approached the Supreme Court. Now BJP has got a shock from here also. The Supreme Court told BJP that your opponent is not your enemy.

Senior BJP lawyer PS Patwalia said that our advertisements are based on facts. On this, Justice Maheshwari said that please see the relevant page in the petition. You are exaggerating the issue here. What is the whole matter?

TMC had termed BJP's advertisements as a violation of the model code of conduct. TMC had claimed that BJP has made false allegations against the party and workers in its advertisement. The matter reached the Election Commission. The Commission had issued a notice to BJP saying that such advertisements should not be published in the media. After this the matter reached the single bench of Calcutta High Court. The court banned it till June 4. BJP filed an appeal. The High Court rejected it.
