Ramban Tunnel Collapsed : Bodies of 10 laborers have been recovered from the rubble on Saturday after part of an under-construction tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district collapsed. Due to which the death toll in this accident has increased from four to 10.

10 workers died

Officials said that 10 laborers were feared trapped under the debris, whose death has now been confirmed. The campaign was started on Saturday morning to evacuate the laborers safely. The search and rescue operation was called off on Friday evening following landslides in the area.


Rescue operation continues for 41 hours

Two bodies were recovered by the rescue team after several hours of intensive search operation on Saturday, officials said. The bodies have been sent to a nearby hospital. He told that the rescue team has seen another body from the rubble. Efforts are being made to get it out.


The tunnel collapsed on Thursday

The T3 tunnel collapsed on the highway near Khooni Nala in Ramban at around 10.15 pm on Thursday. Three were rescued safely. At the same time, it was feared that nine laborers were buried under the debris.
