According to the police, the person who opened fire was dressed like a construction worker. According to the New York Post, the man had entered the station carrying some small bombs. He also had a gun in his hand. The area has been sealed and search is on for the attacker. According to CNN, 8 of the 16 injured have been shot. The rest have been injured due to stampede or bombs.


How did the incident happen?

According to media reports, people in New York's suburban area Brooklyn were reaching the local subway station as usual. From here these people reach many other parts of the city. For this there is a tube area at the metro station. Metro trains run from here for three different routes. At around 8.30 in the morning (according to US time), there was a sudden explosion and a few seconds later the sound of firing. After that there was chaos.


The attacker was seen in the dress of construction workers

Some eyewitnesses say that a man appeared in the dress of construction workers (who look after the maintenance work at the metro station). He threw a bag near the train. He also had a gun in his hand. After a few minutes the smoke subsided and many people were seen falling on the platform. Blood was pouring out of his body.

All train services were suspended from this station immediately after the incident. Where the train was, it was stopped there. The commando team of the New York Police took control of the station. An eyewitness told the New York Post- First we heard a sound like a bomb blast. After that firing started. People searched the hiding place there, but many came in the grip of firing.

The eyewitness further said- We saw a black attacker. His height must have been about 5 feet 5 inches. He was wearing an orange jump suit. He was also wearing a gas mask on his face. He also had a cylinder on his back. We don't know what was in it.
