Unidentified assailants shot dead the husband of a mukhiya (village head) in rural Patna overdue Friday night, the police stated.
The deceased was recognized as Pintu Kumar Sao, 45, of Narhanna village withinside the Bank panchayat which falls beneath neath Maner police station area.
Patna City’s superintendent of police (West) Ashok Kumar Mishra stated the killing came about around 12.15 am on Saturday while Sao was returning home in a car.
“There are as minimum eyewitnesses who have been passing through the spot and noticed the killing take place,” Mishra stated, including that eyewitnesses informed police that bike-borne guys stopped withinside the front of his car, dragged the person out and shot him in the face and chest.
