Kesari Chapter 2 / Akshay's magic will be seen again in 'Kesari2', Karan Johar announced the release date

Kesari Chapter 2: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is once again coming up with a film based on historical perspective. The release date of his much-awaited film 'Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh' has been announced. The film will hit the theaters on 18 April 2025. This information was shared by the film's producer Karan Johar through his Instagram account. He wrote, "Some battles are not fought with weapons. Kesari Chapter 2 teaser will be released on March 24. In theaters worldwide on April 18."

Ananya Pandey and R Madhavan will be seen

Ananya Pandey and R Madhavan will be seen in important roles along with Akshay Kumar in this film. The film is based on the famous book 'The Case That Shook the Empire' by authors Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.

The film depicts the story of C Shankaran Nair, the hero of the Indian freedom struggle. He was a renowned barrister who fought a historic legal battle against the British rule to expose the truth of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. It is noteworthy that Raghu Palt is the great-grandson of C Shankaran Nair and has presented this story after deep research.

Earlier this film was scheduled to release on 14 March 2025, but now it has been extended to 18 April 2025. The film is being produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective and Cape of Good Films, while Karan Singh Tyagi has taken over the direction.
