In this match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, Mumbai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets.

SRH innings: Klaasen-Manohar pair saved the honor

SRH, who came out to bat first after losing the toss, had a very disappointing start. The team lost their 5 wickets for just 35 runs. Trent Boult's lethal bowling demolished the top order of SRH. Batsmen like Travis Head (0), Abhishek Sharma (8), Ishan Kishan (1) and Nitish Reddy (2) could not do anything special.

However, Heinrich Klaasen and impact player Abhinav Manohar took charge for the sixth wicket and shared a brilliant partnership of 99 runs. Klaasen completed his half-century in just 34 balls and scored 71 runs in 44 balls. Abhinav Manohar played an important innings of 43 runs. SRH scored 143 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Mumbai's batting: Rohit-Surya shine

Chasing the target of 144 runs, Mumbai Indians adopted an aggressive attitude from the beginning. Former captain Rohit Sharma once again indicated a return to form by scoring a half-century in the second consecutive match. He gave a quick start and put the team in a strong position.

Jaydev Unadkat, Ishan Malinga and Zeeshan Ansari got one wicket each from SRH, but they failed to stop Mumbai's batting lineup.
