EOW raid at the house of professor couple / 3 plots worth crores were found in Jabalpur, disclosure of black earnings of 2 crore 29 lakhs

In Jabalpur's Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, professor couple Ashok Sahu-Trupti Gupta has got disproportionate assets. The EOW team raided the house of the professor couple at 4 am on Wednesday. In the raid, black money of more than 2 crores has been revealed from the house. Which is illegally acquired by both the husband and wife.

According to SP EOW Jabalpur, a complaint was received against Professor Ashok Sahu and Trupti Gupta in the medical college for acquiring disproportionate assets, the investigation of which was going on. Under this, the EOW team raided the couple's house located in Dhanwantri Nagar, Jabalpur on Wednesday morning under the leadership of DSP Manmeet Singh. During the investigation, a team of engineers of the Public Works Department was also called, so that the permanent assets could be assessed.

Tripti Gupta is the Deputy Registrar and Controller of Examinations in Medical University and her husband Dr Ashok Sahu is the Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Medical University. In the investigation of the department, three different plots have been found in Dhanwantri Nagar of the professor couple, the value of which is said to be around one crore 56 lakhs. The value of the house in which they live has been considered to be around two crore 34 lakhs. Both have got a Life Insurance Corporation policy of more than five and a half lakhs and a four wheeler vehicle worth seven and a half lakhs.

EOW has found illegal assets worth more than two crores in the investigation so far from the house of the professor couple. At the same time, the legal income of professors so far has been estimated to be three crore 15 lakhs, while they have got assets worth more than five crore 44 lakhs so far. Black earnings of two crore 29 lakhs have been revealed from the couple's house.
