Bihar: Out of 243 MLAs who won the Bihar Assembly Elections, 2020, 40 have presented wrong details of their assets in their affidavits. There are 10 MLAs in this, whose properties have been found to be a lot wrong. Some have got 20 crores more than the property shown in the wrongful affidavit, while some have got 10 crores more. In this there are MLAs of all parties including JDU, BJP, RJD, HAM, Congress. The names of Bahubali MLA Anant Singh and former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi are also included. Some have also remained ministers in the current government.
This fact has come to the fore in the investigation of the Income Tax Department. After examining the assets of all the MLAs who won the election, its report has been sent to the Central Election Commission. In this, the names of 40 MLAs who gave wrong information about the assets. However, the mention of people's representatives who have lost one or two elections, that is, contesting as a candidate, is because they have got more disturbances.
