Bihar Budget 2025-26: Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar this year, and before that the ruling Nitish Kumar government has presented the last budget of Rs 3.17 lakh crore. This budget has been dedicated to many important schemes and development works, but with this political rhetoric has also intensified. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a scathing attack on the opposition in the assembly and especially took on Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.Nitish attacks oppositionChief Minister Nitish Kumar said that during the RJD rule, only caste-religion politics was done and development works were ignored. He claimed that he has improved the condition of health, education, roads, and police force in Bihar. He said, "What was there in Bihar earlier? We had made your (Tejashwi Yadav) father also. When you messed up twice, we removed you too." He also said that now one can reach Patna from any corner of Bihar within four hours, indicating improvement in the infrastructure of the state. Taking a dig at the opposition, the Chief Minister said that they were talking 'nonsense' and finally walked out of the House.Gratitude to PM ModiThe Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Bihar has got a special package in the budget of 2024 and 2025. This will give further impetus to the development work in the state.Claim of fear-free environment in BiharNitish Kumar claimed improvement in the law and order situation in Bihar. He said that earlier people were afraid to go out of their homes as soon as it was evening, but now women and girls can also go out without hesitation till 11 pm. He listed the works done by the government and said that his government has started many schemes for education, health, and women empowerment.Political rhetoric intensifies before electionsBihar politics has heated up before the elections. The round of allegations and counter-allegations continues between the Chief Minister and the opposition. The opposition says that the government is making such statements to hide its failures, whereas the government claims that the state has made remarkable progress in the last few years.
