Israel-Gaza Conflict / 90 deaths in 48 hours, Netanyahu said- 'There is no option other than war in Gaza'

Prime Minister Netanyahu's tough stance does not seem to stop the violence in Gaza. Israel is not ready to stop the war until Hamas is eliminated, hostages are released and security is guaranteed. Hamas rejected the latest proposal, while more than 90 people have died in continuous attacks in Gaza.

Israel-Gaza Conflict: The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas is not coming to an end. Recent comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have indicated that more bloodshed is certain in Gaza. Netanyahu said in clear terms that the war will continue until Hamas is eliminated, all hostages are released and Gaza is converted into a safe zone for Israel. Along with this, he also reiterated that he will not let Iran acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.

Hamas rejected Israel's proposal

According to Netanyahu, Hamas has rejected Israel's proposal to continue the ceasefire in exchange for partial release of hostages. This statement comes at a time when more than 90 people have lost their lives in Israeli attacks in Gaza within 48 hours. These include many women and children.

Israeli attacks and humanitarian crisis intensified

The Israeli army has increased the intensity of attacks to increase pressure on Hamas. The southern city of Khan Younis, which Israel has declared a humanitarian zone, has also suffered heavy loss of life in the attacks. Those killed included those who were living in temporary tents in the Muwasi area due to displacement.

Hospital staff say many of those killed were children and women. Mourners bid farewell to the bodies of their loved ones with tearful eyes, and this has turned the entire conflict into a deep humanitarian tragedy.

Israeli army claims victory against terrorists

The Israeli army says it has killed more than 40 terrorists in recent attacks. However, Israel itself has also suffered losses in this conflict. An Israeli soldier was killed on Saturday in northern Gaza, the first military loss since the war resumed on March 18.

6-week blockade and growing humanitarian crisis

The blockade in Gaza for the last six weeks has made the situation even worse. Lack of food items and essential medicines has pushed people towards malnutrition and diseases. The United Nations and other humanitarian organizations have warned that thousands of children are suffering from malnutrition and most people are able to eat only once a day.

Dr. Hanan Balkhi of the World Health Organization has appealed to the US ambassador to put pressure on Israel so that aid can reach Gaza. He urged international leaders to go there and see the situation for themselves.

Start of the conflict and status of hostages

This war started on October 7, 2023 when Hamas terrorists suddenly attacked Israel. About 1,200 people lost their lives in this attack and 251 were taken hostage. Some hostages have been released from time to time, but still 59 hostages are in the custody of Hamas, out of which 24 are expected to be alive.
