Pushpa 2- The Rule: The year 2024 is about to end, and in a short time we will enter 2025. The cinema journey of the past year was not as bright as 2023, but some records were made this year as well. Especially South Indian cinema made a great impression at the box office, demonstrating its grip and strength. This year was full of mixed experiences for Bollywood. Some films lived up to expectations and earned well, but the films of big superstars could not impress the audience that much.

Bollywood's struggle and South's dominance

While some Bollywood films performed average at the box office, two big South films proved their dominance by earning more than thousand crores. Prabhas' Kalki created an atmosphere at the beginning of the year itself. After this, Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, which came at the end of the year, made a bang at the box office. This film is not only winning the hearts of the audience, but is still earning well in theaters.

Aamir Khan's team congratulated

The record of the highest grossing film in Indian cinema is still held by Aamir Khan's Dangal. Released in 2016, this film had a historic collection of Rs 2070 crore. But now Pushpa 2 has come close to this record.

Aamir Khan Production House expressed happiness over the success of Pushpa 2 and posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Many congratulations from AKP to the team of Pushpa 2: The Rule for the blockbuster success of the film. We hope your film maintains this sequence and earns even more. Love to all."

Pushpa 2 team's response

The team of Pushpa 2 responded warmly to this praise of Aamir Khan. Allu Arjun thanked and wrote, "Thank you for this warm congratulations. We respect the team of AKP." At the same time, Mythri Movie Makers also expressed happiness over this praise and called it a reflection of the potential of Indian cinema.

Earning figures

Pushpa 2: The Rule has collected Rs 1760 crore worldwide in 25 days. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Fasil have played strong roles along with Allu Arjun in the film. At the same time, Pushpa 2 will have to earn an additional Rs 310 crore to break the record of Dangal.

Lessons of 2024 and expectations of 2025

2024 proved to be a mixed bag for cinema. While Bollywood needs to rework its strategies, the success of South cinema worked to increase the global influence of Indian cinema. In 2025, the audience expects even more powerful films.

Will the journey of Pushpa 2 be able to break the record of Dangal? Or will some other film set new records in 2025? It will be interesting to see.
