The high-octane action drama grossed Rs 1,810 crore, becoming a phenomenal box office success.

Kalki 2898 AD

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD, releasing in 2024, stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani and many other star actors. Made on a staggering budget of Rs 600 crore, the science-fiction film broke all records by grossing Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office.

Pushpa 2: The Rule

Directed by Sukumar, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2, releasing in 2024, was produced on a whopping budget of Rs 500 crore. The 200-minute film, a sequel to the 2021 hit 'Pushpa: The Rise', grossed over Rs 1,742 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2024. It also recorded the highest opening day for an Indian film by collecting Rs 270 crore globally.

Thugs of Hindostan

Starring superstars like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, 'Thugs of Hindostan' was one of the most anticipated films of 2018. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film was made on a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore. Despite its high cost and star-studded cast, the film failed to perform well at the box office. It grossed Rs 335 crore worldwide. Though it managed to recover its cost, it was roundly rejected by audiences and critics.
