Nainital Bus Accident: A bus filled with tourists from Haryana fell into a ditch in Nainital, Uttarakhand late on Sunday evening. There were 32 people in the bus, out of which 18 people were rescued and taken to the hospital. SDRF is conducting relief and rescue operations on the spot. A bus carrying about 32 people derailed at Nalni on Kaladhungi Road. This bus went out of control and fell into a ditch and met with an accident. On receiving information about the bus falling into the ditch, SDRF teams from posts Rudrapur, Nainital and Khairna left for the spot. After reaching the spot, the SDRF team saw that the bus was carrying tourists from Haryana, who had come from Hisar to visit Nainital.
SDRF rescue team reached the spot and launched a joint rescue operation with other rescue units and local police. Out of the people traveling in the bus, 18 people were rescued in injured condition and taken to the hospital for treatment, while SDRF is conducting rescue on the spot.
32 People had come from Hisar to Nainital in the bus.
After reaching the accident site, the teams got information that 32 people were traveling in the bus. He had come to Nainital from Hisar. SDRF rescue teams started a joint rescue operation with the police and rescued 18 injured people from the bus and took them to the hospital for treatment. The search for other people is still going on.
A painful accident happened near Gangnani in August.
Earlier in August, a bus carrying passengers from Gujarat returning from Gangotri Dham in Uttarakhand had fallen into a ditch near Gangnani on the Gangotri National Highway. There were 35 passengers in this bus. 7 passengers lost their lives in the bus accident.
After the accident, Superintendent of Police Arpan Yaduvanshi had said that 27 people were rescued, these people had minor injuries. But, everyone is safe. The bodies of 7 deceased have been recovered. Apart from this, efforts are being made to rescue one passenger.
