Let us tell you, this money will be spent to increase the power generation capacity from solar energy and wind energy in Khavra, Kutch in Gujarat from 2 GW to 30 GW.

There will be investment here too

According to a senior company official, Adani New Industries, a unit of Adani Enterprises, will invest about Rs 50 thousand crore on similar projects of 6 to 7 GW at different places in the country. Adani New Industries is going to invest about Rs 30 thousand crore in the expansion of solar cell and wind turbine manufacturing capacity in Mundra, Gujarat.

Capacity will be increased to 45 gigawatts

At present Adani Green Energy has a capacity of 10,934 MW (10.93 GW). The company wants to achieve 45 gigawatt renewable energy production capacity by 2030. Out of this, 30 gigawatt capacity will come from Khavra, the world's largest renewable energy project. Company's MD Vineet Jain said while talking to the media that we have just started a 2,000 MW (2 GW) capacity plant in Khavda. Capacity will be increased by 4 gigawatts in the current financial year 2024-25 and 5 gigawatts every year thereafter.

Khavra plant will generate 81 billion units of electricity

According to Vineet Jain, the Khavra plant is spread over an area of approximately 538 square km. It is also about 5 times bigger than Paris. When it reaches its highest production capacity, it will generate 81 billion units of electricity. This is so much electricity that it can single-handedly meet the energy needs of countries like Belgium, Chile and Switzerland. Apart from Khavda, Adani Group is also preparing similar projects in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
