Many Hindu organizations have demanded a ban on the film, accusing it of defaming religion. The teaser of 'Aadipurush' was released last week.

There has been a lot of criticism for the role of the 10-headed Lankesh, the king of demons in this film. The role of Lankesh is played by Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The filmmakers have been criticized by many for saying that it reflects the Islamization of 'Ramayana'.
