New rules on pension of central employees

The central government provides social security to its employees as well as their families. According to the news published in Financial Express, under sub rule (11) of Rule 54 of the Central Civil Services (Central Civil Services, 1972), if both husband and wife are government employees and fall under that rule, they should die. On leaving, their children will be entitled to the pension of both parents. According to the rules, if one parent dies during service or after retirement, the pension is given to the surviving parent. On the death of both, their children will get two family pensions.

Earlier there was a rule on pension

Earlier, if both pensioners had died, the limit of two pensions received by the child or children was Rs 45,000 as per Rule 54 of Sub Rule (3), both pension of Rs 27,000 as per Rule 54 of Sub Rule (2) of Rule 54. is applicable per month. 5,000 and Rs 27,000 pension limits According to the Sixth Pay Commission, the highest payments under Rule 54 (11) of the CCS Rules are at the rate of 50 per cent and 30 per cent of Rs 90,000 per month,

Now the new rule on pension

After the Seventh Pay Commission, the payment in the government job was revised to Rs 2.5 lakh per month. Since then, there has also been a change in the pension received by the children. According to the notification of the Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare (DoPPW), the two limits have been changed to Rs 1.25 lakh per month and Rs 75,000 per month.
