Companies Market Cap / Ambani-Tata hit the jackpot, earned 1.18 lakh crores in a week

The stock market has seen a strong rally in the past week. The market cap of six of the top 10 companies of BSE increased by Rs 1.18 lakh crore. Reliance and TCS gained the most. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel and Hindustan Unilever suffered losses. Caution is possible in the market next week.

Companies Market Cap: For the past few weeks, Indian stock markets have been witnessing tremendous growth. In particular, last week, the market capitalization of six of the top-10 companies listed on the BSE registered a total increase of Rs 1.18 lakh crore. In this spectacular rally, investors benefited the most from the shares of Reliance Industries Limited and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). An increase of crores in the wealth of investors was seen in just one week.

Which companies shone?

Last week, the BSE Sensex rose 659.33 points or 0.83 percent, while the NSE Nifty closed 187.7 points or 0.78 percent higher. Amidst this boom, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, TCS, State Bank of India, Infosys and ITC increased their valuation.

TCS's market cap increased by Rs 53,692.42 crore to Rs 12,47,281.40 crore, which was the biggest jump. On the other hand, Reliance Industries added Rs 34,507.55 crore and the total market value reached Rs 17,59,276.14 crore.

Infosys also did not disappoint investors, its market capitalization increased by Rs 24,919.58 crore to Rs 6,14,766.06 crore. At the same time, HDFC Bank's valuation increased by Rs 2,907.85 crore to Rs 14,61,842.17 crore.

Which companies suffered losses?

However, this week was not full of happiness for every player. Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance and Hindustan Unilever suffered losses during this period.

Bharti Airtel's market valuation fell by Rs 41,967.5 crore to Rs 10,35,274.24 crore, while Hindustan Unilever lost Rs 10,114.99 crore and now its total market cap is Rs 5,47,830.70 crore.

How was the ranking of the top-10 companies?

Reliance Industries again retained the crown of the most valuable company. It was followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever and finally ITC.

How will the market mood be ahead?

Experts believe that the market may remain cautious in the new week starting from April 28. Based on technical indicators, a slight decline in Nifty is expected. However, investors may remain interested in some domestic sectors. Balancing between global economic uncertainty and domestic economic data will be a big challenge for investors.
