Apple iPhone 16e: Apple has now declared its latest smartphone, the iPhone 16e, as 'Made in India' following the iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and iPhone 15. This new model is an upgrade to the iPhone SE 2022 and has been introduced under a new name. The company has launched its affordable SE model with several significant upgrades. Many features of the iPhone 16e are inspired by the iPhone 16 series. Additionally, Apple plans to manufacture all models of the iPhone 16 series in India.

iPhone 16e to be Manufactured in India

During the launch of the iPhone 16e, Apple announced that all variants of the iPhone 16 series, including this model, will be manufactured in India. The company is prioritizing local manufacturing in India and plans to export Indian-made iPhones to other countries. Due to the PLI (Production Linked Incentive) scheme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, mobile manufacturing in India has accelerated.

Last year, Apple set a record for exporting iPhones manufactured in India, and this number is continuously increasing. The production of the iPhone 16e will help establish India as a global smartphone manufacturing hub.
