India-China | A jawan of an army unit based in Harshil died on the spot after being hit by a stone falling from a hill on the Nelong border, adjacent to the Indo-Tibetan China border. While a young man is said to be injured. According to sources, an army helicopter injured in the accident has been sent to Dehradun.

On the Nelong border, the soldiers fell into a deep gorge near the Hawa band adjacent to the Gangotri Highway. This incident happened while coming from Nelang to Harshil. It was told that due to the closure of the road near the air band on Gangotri Highway, the soldiers were going out on foot, when a heavy stone fell from the hill and the army personnel fell into the deep gorge after being hit by it.

However, which jawan was killed in the accident and the injured could not be officially confirmed. There has been no reaction from the army on the incident so far. The district administration and the police were also not aware of the incident till late in the evening.
