Amit Shah News: After the speech given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha, the opposition parties have once again started demanding an apology for the respect of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reacted sharply on this issue and appealed to the Union Home Minister to apologize for the remarks made in reference to Ambedkar. He said that the insult of the country's Constitution maker cannot be tolerated. Also, Rahul Gandhi also shared pictures of the protest done by the opposition in the Parliament premises. Now all the opposition parties are united on this issue and demanding an apology from Amit Shah.

Amit Shah's answer: Allegations on Congress

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the press on this controversy, made several serious allegations against the Congress party. He said that the views of the ruling and opposition parties in Parliament may be different, but the conversation should be based on facts and truth. Amit Shah alleged that the Congress party tried to distort the facts, which is highly condemnable. He said that the speakers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have always talked about the Constitution and its creators by giving examples, while the Congress constantly opposed the Constitution maker Ambedkar.

Insult of Ambedkar and Savarkar

Amit Shah also alleged that the Congress Party not only insulted Dr. Ambedkar, but also insulted Veer Savarkar and the Indian judiciary. He claimed that as long as the Congress was in power, Babasaheb Ambedkar was not respected. Giving examples, Amit Shah said that Congress made special efforts to ensure Babasaheb's defeat and even did not allow Ambedkar's 100th birth anniversary to be celebrated. He also said that when Babasaheb got Bharat Ratna, Congress was not in power, but this honor was received with the support of the BJP government.

BJP's contribution towards Ambedkar

Amit Shah said that BJP can never insult Babasaheb Ambedkar. He gave the example that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Constitution Day in 2015 and inaugurated the memorial at Ambedkar's Mahaparinirvan Sthal in 2018. He said that Congress opposed Ambedkar and his principles, while BJP propagated his principles and worked to strengthen reservation.

Allegations of Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress

Amit Shah also targeted Mallikarjun Kharge and said that he should not have become a part of this reprehensible effort of Congress under pressure from Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that Congress distorted his statement and tried to spread confusion. Shah also said that Congress has been against reservation by standing against Ambedkar's ideas, for example, it shelved the Mandal Commission report in 1980.

Amit Shah's statement in Rajya Sabha records

Amit Shah also clarified that his entire statement is present in the Rajya Sabha records and when the Congress did not present the correct context of his statement, they distorted it and spread confusion. Shah finally said that he comes from a party that can never insult the ideas of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

Amidst this statement and the demand for an apology, this controversy has now gone beyond political rhetoric and has become a topic of discussion in the society. While the opposition is demanding an apology from the Union Home Minister in this matter, the BJP is clarifying its position and publicly clarifying its loyalty and respect towards Ambedkar.
