His statement is not only important from the security point of view, but also gives a new dimension to the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bastar.

Message given to Naxalites in Bastar Pandum

Speaking at a traditional and cultural event like 'Bastar Pandum', Shah said that now those days are gone when Bastar used to tremble with the sound of bullets. He appealed to the Naxalites to give up arms and return to the mainstream, because no one is happy with anyone's death. This statement is a symbol of both determination and compassion - strong determination on one hand, human sensitivities on the other.

Bastar moving towards development

Amit Shah emphasized that the development that could not happen in the last 50 years has been made possible by the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in just five years. He described it as a golden period of development for Bastar, which further strengthens the hopes for the future of the region.

Tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram

During the program, the Home Minister paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his birth anniversary. He said that Babuji struggled all his life for the Dalits, backward, tribals and the poor, and his life is an inspiration for the country.

Confidence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai also said on the occasion that Amit Shah's resolution will be fulfilled with the "grace of Maa Danteshwari". He expressed confidence that the action being led by the Central Government is moving towards the total destruction of Naxalism and this mission is now at a decisive turn.

Unprecedented success in anti-Naxal campaign

The anti-Naxal campaign in Chhattisgarh has gained tremendous momentum since the BJP government came to power in 2023. So far, about 350 Naxalites have been killed, including a large number of militants from the Bastar region. Recently, 18 Naxalites, including 11 women, were killed in two encounters on March 29. With this, the number of districts affected by left wing extremism has come down from 12 to 6, which is being considered a big achievement.
