Government Cab Service: The cab service market in India is growing rapidly. Taxi service companies like Ola-Uber have established their dominance in this sector. But now the government is also going to step into this field. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has recently announced that the government is planning to launch a new taxi service based on a cooperative model. The aim of this government cab service is to give more benefits to the drivers and provide affordable services to the consumers. How will the government taxi service be?This cooperative-run taxi service proposed by the government is being prepared to give tough competition to private companies like Ola and Uber. The main goal of this service is to give more benefits and empowerment to the drivers. At present, cab aggregators charge huge commission amounts from the drivers, which limits their income. But in this new model, the drivers will get profits directly and they will not have to pay heavy commission to any private company.Drivers will have fun, opportunity to earn more
- Amit Shah said that the biggest benefit of this cooperative cab service will be to taxi drivers:
- Less commission cut: Platforms like Ola and Uber charge 20-30% commission from drivers, whereas in the government cooperative model it will be much less.
- Better insurance and security: Drivers will get more social security, such as facilities like health insurance, accident insurance and pension.
- Direct share in dividend: In the government cooperative model, a part of the profits will be given to the drivers, which will increase their income.
