Cyclone Biporjoy / Army ready to deal with 'Biparjoy', rescue of 20 thousand, Gujarat port closed

Cyclone Biporjoy: The Indian Meteorological Department said on Tuesday that cyclonic storm Biparjoy is slowly moving towards the coast. According to the department, the cyclonic storm is slowly moving north at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour. At present, its distance from Porbandar coast of Gujarat is more than 250 km. However, it is expected that this Cyclone Biporjoy may hit the Saurashtra and Kutch region of Gujarat as well as the coasts of Pakistan on Thursday.   1. The Indian Meteorological Department has told that the maximum damage due to the cyclone has been expressed in Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Junagadh and Morbi. Due to the storm, winds are going to blow at a speed of 125-135 kilometers per hour.
  2. Amidst the stormy waves, the staff working in an oil drilling rig located 20 nautical miles from Okha in Gujarat was trapped, to save whom the Indian Coast Guard carried out a rescue operation. He was taken out through Dhruv helicopter.
  3. Keeping in mind the cyclonic storm Biparjoy, many ports of Gujarat have been closed. The Coast Guard is advising sailors and people living along the coast to stay away from the coast. Fishermen have also been asked to stay away from the coast.
  4. NDRF teams have been deployed to minimize the damage caused by the storm. NDRF teams have evacuated people living in low-lying areas and taken them to safer places.
  5. In view of Biparjoy, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in the coastal areas of Saurashtra, Kutch. Due to the storm, there is going to be heavy rain in these areas. After the Meteorological Department's alert, preparations are being made to deal with the rain.
  6. People living in low-lying areas within a radius of 5 kilometers near the coast of Gujarat have been evacuated. So far, 20,580 people have been evacuated from the coastal areas of the state and sent to relief camps.
  7. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a review meeting regarding the cyclone. He instructed that preparations should be made from ration to medical and health emergency, so that when the storm hits, all possible help can be given to the people.
  8. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is present in Kutch. He has told that complete preparations have been made to deal with the cyclone. Any kind of situation can be dealt with. If the army has to be brought in to help the people, then we are ready for that too.
  9. Cyclone Biparjoy may hit Mandvi in Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan. Its effect is also going to be seen in Dwarka, Jamnagar, Kutch and Morbi. During this, winds will blow at a speed of 125-135 km.
  10. The Gujarat government has told that eight districts are going to be affected due to the cyclonic storm. Heavy rains are going to occur in Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Jamnagar on June 15. Porbandar, Rajkot, Morbi and Junagadh will also receive heavy to very heavy rains.
  11. Looking at Biparjoy, the Indian Army has also been prepared. Army officials have made preparations for relief operation with NDRF. The army has been deployed on the spot carrying all the necessary things with it.
