Ramcharitmanas Row: A statement by Samajwadi Party leader and MLC Swami Prasad Maurya has created a ruckus. He has disputed about Ramcharitmanas. He has said that Tulsidas's Ramayana should be banned. The conservative literature in which backward and Dalits have been abused should be banned. Swami Prasad Maurya further said, if the government cannot ban Tulsidas's Ramayana, then those verses should be removed from Ramayana.

Swami Prasad said that several crore people do not read Ramcharitmanas. all this rubbish. Tulsidas has written this for his happiness. Swami Prasad did not stop at this. He said that the government should ban this book itself. While making controversial remarks, the SP leader said that there are some such parts in Tulsidas's Ramayana, on which we have objection. There is no right to abuse anyone in any religion. There is a chaupai in Tulsidas's Ramayana. In this, he is giving the certificate of being of low caste to the Shudras.

Further Swami Prasad Maurya said, a Brahmin may be vicious, lustful, illiterate or illiterate, but if he is a Brahmin, he is called worshipable. But no matter how educated or knowledgeable a Shudra is, don't respect him. Is this religion? If this is the religion, then I salute such a religion. The religion which wants our destruction, such religion should be destroyed. Maurya also commented on Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. He said that only the contractors of religion are doing the deal of religion, this is the misfortune of the country. Due to the efforts of social reformers, today the country is on the path of progress. But conservative thinking baba is trying to spread superstition, fraud and orthodox traditions in the society. Maurya said sarcastically that if Baba has the cure for all diseases, then the government is running hospitals and medical colleges unnecessarily.
