Swami Prasad Maurya remark over Ramcharitmanas: The controversy over Ramcharitmanas that started from Bihar has now reached Uttar Pradesh. Here, Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya has demanded to ban Ramcharitmanas's cattle, saying it is discriminatory. After this, the leader of the Hindu Mahasabha announced a reward for the person who would cut his tongue. In fact, a day after Swami Prasad Maurya had allegedly described some couplets of Ramcharit Manas as discriminatory, a leader of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha announced a reward of Rs 51,000 to the person who 'cut off' his tongue.Saurabh Sharma, Agra district in-charge of the Mahasabha, said, “If a person cuts off the tongue of Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, he will be given a check of Rs 51,000 as a reward. They have insulted our religious book. At the same time, he has also hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The SP MLAs said that they will meet party chief Akhilesh Yadav in this matter and inform him about the situation. Samajwadi Party leader Manoj Pandey said that Ramcharitmanas is such a book, which is read and considered all over the world.SP MLA Pandey said that this book tells man the importance of moral values and mutual relations. He said that we respect not only Ramcharitmanas, but also Bible, Quran and Guru Granth Sahib equally. These texts teach us to live with everyone. He said that Akhilesh Yadav is in Uttarakhand and he is aware of this.Swami Prasad Maurya had said, 'If any section of the society has been insulted on the basis of caste, caste and class in some verses of Ramcharitmanas, then it is not religion but unrighteousness. This incites not only the BJP, but also the saints to attack. In some lines of Ramcharit Manas, the names of castes like Teli and Kumhar are mentioned, due to which the religious sentiments of these castes are hurt. SP leader Maurya had demanded to ban this part of the book.
