China-Bangladesh Relation: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently visited China. There were many discussions about her visit. It was being said that China would give a loan to Bangladesh. It would bring it into its fold and a new challenge would arise in front of India, but all these things remained unfulfilled. The exact opposite happened. Sheikh Hasina's China visit was for 4 days, but she returned to the country in 3 days. The reason given was that her daughter was unwell. Due to this, she had to suddenly return 1 day earlier. Actually, Sheikh Hasina went to China with the hope that Xi Jinping would give her a lot of importance. Actually, when Jinping visited Bangladesh in 2016, he had made many promises. He had said that we will give you a loan of millions of crores. We will invest here, but then China was the dominant country. 8 years later i.e. in 2024, China's situation is not good. It is going through an economic crisis. Sheikh Hasina went to China remembering those promises of Jinping. Why did Sheikh Hasina reject China's offer?Sheikh Hasina was expecting that China would give her a loan of Rs 4 lakh crore. But Bangladesh was surprised to know the loan offered by China. China was offering it a loan of only Rs 900 crore. Bangladesh was surprised that there is so much difference between China's words and actions. It is being said that Sheikh Hasina was unhappy with this and for these reasons she ended the trip before the scheduled time.According to the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry, Dhaka was not happy with the offer from China, because Dhaka was expecting more. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh was expecting a long conversation with Xi but only a brief conversation could take place. Apart from this, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi did not even meet Sheikh Hasina. Not only this, the Chinese media also did not give much importance to Sheikh Hasina's visit.Sheikh Hasina visited India twice this yearBefore visiting China, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh came to India. She has visited India twice this year. Both visits took place in June. She attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and later came to Delhi on a bilateral state visit. This was the first visit of a foreign leader after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister for the third time.At the same time, she last visited China in July 2019. Relations between China and Bangladesh have been cordial. But the growing closeness between India and Bangladesh irritates China. It gives loans to Bangladesh only to bring it to its side. China is Bangladesh's largest trading partner. However, it was associated with India before this.On the other hand, Bangladesh's economy has collapsed after the Corona epidemic. Sheikh Hasina's government is trying to bring it back on track. In this episode, the Prime Minister went on a visit to China. She hoped that China would help her get out of the crisis, but this could not happen.
