IND vs BAN T20 Series: Team India has suffered a major setback just 24 hours before the start of the T20 series against Bangladesh. Team India's all-rounder Shivam Dubey has been ruled out due to injury before the match to be held in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6. The Board of Control for Cricket in India informed about Dubey's injury in a press release on Saturday and said that he is out of the three-match series. The board said that Dubey has a back problem, due to which he will not be able to participate in the series.

When and how did he get injured? No answer received

However, the BCCI did not tell when and how Shivam Dubey got this injury. Also, it is not known at the moment how serious it is? Till now he was present in Gwalior with Team India and was participating in practice. According to the rules, being a part of the BCCI's central contract, Shivam Dubey will work on his fitness under the supervision of the medical team at the National Cricket Academy.

Shivam Dubey, who was part of the recently won T20 World Cup team, was also part of Team India on the Sri Lanka tour but he could not do anything special there. Despite this, he got a place in the team. Last month, Shivam also participated in a match of Duleep Trophy, where he could score only 34 runs in 2 innings. In such a situation, his recent form was becoming a cause of concern for Team India.

Tilak Verma got a chance

The selection committee has included young left-handed batsman Tilak Verma in the squad in place of Shivam Dubey. Initially, Tilak was surprised not to be selected in the team but now he has returned. 21-year-old Tilak was also not selected for the Sri Lanka tour earlier, but then his fitness was the reason for this. This batsman played his last match for Team India against Afghanistan in January this year. Recently, he played two matches in the Duleep Trophy, in which he also scored a century.
