Controversy has broken out regarding this. The incident has been strongly condemned by the Nagaon district units of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. He alleged that the sentiments of Hindu Sanatan Dharma have been hurt.

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the actor dressed as Lord Shiva said the government was working only in the interest of the capitalists and was not concerned about the issues of the common people. He then urged the curious spectators to take to the streets and protest the rising inflation.

After this the artist reached the Bada Bazar area and did a similar street play. The stunt caught the attention of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. He criticized the play and accused the youth of hurting Hindu sentiments.

Following this a complaint was lodged against the actor duo (Birinchi Bora and Karishma) at the Nagaon Sadar police station. After this Bora has been arrested by the police.
