BMW has launched its cheapest SUV in India in a new avatar. The company launched the new generation model of the X1 SUV. The special thing is that it comes in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant has been named as XLine and the diesel engine as M Sport. The Xline variant of this BMW SUV costs Rs 45.95 lakh and the M Sport variant costs Rs 47.90 lakh.

BMW X1 2023 Launched: BMW has launched its cheapest SUV in India in a new avatar. The company launched the new generation model of the X1 SUV. The special thing is that it comes in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant has been named as XLine and the diesel engine as M Sport. The Xline variant of this BMW SUV costs Rs 45.95 lakh and the M Sport variant costs Rs 47.90 lakh. That is, if you are looking for a luxury SUV for yourself in the budget of 45 to 50 lakh rupees, then you also have the option of BMW.

The BMW X1 will compete with the Mercedes Benz GLA, Audi Q3, Volvo XC40 and the Mini Countryman. The delivery of its diesel variants will start from March and the delivery of petrol variants will start from June. It has been made 53 mm longer, 24 mm wider and 44 mm higher than the old model. The company has also increased the wheelbase by 22 mm. It has been brought in a total of 5 color options.

Engine & Mileage

The BMW X1 M Sport is powered by a 1,995cc 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 145 Bhp and 360 Nm of peak torque. This car catches the speed of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.9 seconds. Similarly, the BMW X1 xLine is powered by a 1,499 cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 132 Bhp and 230 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.2 seconds. The petrol variant has a mileage of 16.3Kmpl and the diesel variant has a mileage of 20.37kmpl.

There is a slight update on the exterior as compared to the previous model. It gets sporty bumpers, slightly bigger grille, sleek headlamps and new LED DRLs. The sides get new 18-inch alloy wheels and flush-sitting door handles. The interiors get a new curved infotainment system which is based on models like X7 and 7 Series. Apart from this, there is a 10.25-inch driver's display and a 10.7-inch control display behind the steering wheel.
