One Nation One Election: The government has constituted a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to review the bill related to "One Country One Election". Today this proposal was introduced in the Lok Sabha, in which it was decided to increase the number of members of the JPC. Now the JPC will have a total of 39 members, including 27 from the Lok Sabha and 12 from the Rajya Sabha.

Expansion of JPC:

Earlier the committee had 31 members, but its number was increased due to objections from some political parties and to ensure wider representation.
